They say that it\u2019s hard to find «your» person. Our contributors have proved this wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met\u2026 in the produce section. We were waiting for some old lady to figure out how to work the electronic scales. At some point, we exchanged knowing looks, smiled and started talking about tomatoes (!!!). And we ended up agreeing on a coffee date, it\u2019s a good thing we live close to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met… at a language class. Honestly, I took up this class out of boredom; I just wanted to keep my brain busy. And my husband was preparing for a promotion, and he needed to improve his language skills. We were sitting next to each other and exchanging some materials, and a month later he asked me to go to the movies with him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met… at a vet clinic. She brought in a puppy that swallowed a wire and couldn\u2019t digest it. I treated this unfortunate puppy (that is our dog now). She was so beautiful and so sad that I did not know how to approach her, although I liked her right away. And there\u2019s medical ethics, you know. But my girlfriend turned out to be more resourceful and brought two concert tickets to her last appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met… at a friend’s cottage. They put us together in the salad-making station. And we still like cooking together.<\/p>\n\n\n

We met… when we were volunteering at a charity project. We got close right away: we were dealing with organizational issues together, had lunch, and went to a bar later that night. Now we are thinking of starting our own little charity fund, it\u2019s our common dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met… in a very romantic place \u2013 on a train. I was going on a business trip, and he was going to visit his parents. I thought I was going to a boring event, but it turned out to be a very exciting trip, with the added bonus of new love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We met… at an amusement park. We both hate them, we came there with our friends and were feeling miserable. Our shared misery apparently brought us together. And now we prefer less adrenaline-driven activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
